34So Peter opened his mouth and said: “Truly I understand that dGod eshows no partiality, 35but fin every nation anyone who fears him and gdoes what is right is acceptable to him. 36As for hthe word that he sent to Israel, ipreaching good news of jpeace through Jesus Christ ( khe is Lord of all), 37you yourselves know what happened throughout all Judea, lbeginning mfrom Galilee after the baptism that John proclaimed: 38how nGod anointed Jesus of Nazareth owith the Holy Spirit and with ppower. 13though formerly I was a blasphemer, aspersecutor, and insolent opponent. But atI received mercy aubecause I had acted ignorantly in unbelief, 14and avthe grace of our Lord overflowed for me with the awfaith and love that are in Christ Jesus. 15The saying is axtrustworthy and deserving of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus aycame into the world to save sinners, azof whom I am the foremost. 16But I received mercy for this reason, that in me, as the foremost, Jesus Christ might display his perfect patience as an example to those who were to believe in him for eternal life.
