A Man with a Withered Hand

1 aAgain bhe entered the synagogue, and a man was there with a withered hand. 2And cthey watched Jesus,
Greek him
to see whether he would heal him on the Sabbath, so that they might accuse him.
3And he said to the man with the withered hand, Come here.” 4And he said to them, e“Is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good or to do harm, to save life or to kill?” But they were silent. 5And he flooked around at them with anger, grieved at gtheir hardness of heart, and said to the man, Stretch out your hand.” hHe stretched it out, and his hand was restored.

6On another Sabbath, ihe entered the synagogue jand was teaching, and a man was there whose right hand was withered. 7And the scribes and the Pharisees kwatched him, to see whether he would heal on the Sabbath, lso that they might find a reason to accuse him. 8But mhe knew their thoughts, and he said to the man with the withered hand, Come and stand here.” And he rose and stood there. 9And Jesus said to them, “I ask you, nis it lawful on the Sabbath to do good or to do harm, to save life or to destroy it?” 10And oafter looking around at them all he said to him, “Stretch out your hand.” And phe did so, and his hand was restored. 11But they were filled with qfury and discussed with one another what they might do to Jesus.
