Mark 3:20-30

20Then he went ahome, and the crowd gathered again, bso that they could not even eat. 21 cAnd when dhis family heard it, they went out to seize him, for they were saying, “He eis out of his mind.”

Blasphemy Against the Holy Spirit

22And fthe scribes who came down from Jerusalem were saying, g“He is possessed by Beelzebul,” and “by the prince of demons he casts out the demons.” 23 hAnd he called them to him and said to them in parables, How can Satan cast out Satan? 24If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. 25And if a house is divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand. 26And if Satan has risen up against himself and is divided, he cannot stand, but is coming to an end. 27But ino one can enter a strong man’s house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man. jThen indeed he may plunder his house.

28 kTruly, I say to you, all sins will be forgiven the children of man, and whatever blasphemies they utter, 29but whoever lblasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin 30for they were saying, “He has an unclean spirit.”

Luke 11:14-23

Jesus and Beelzebul

14 mNow he was casting out a demon that was mute. When the demon had gone out, the mute man spoke, and the people marveled. 15But some of them said, “He casts out demons nby Beelzebul, the prince of demons,” 16while others, oto test him, kept seeking from him a sign from heaven. 17 pBut he, qknowing their thoughts, said to them, Every kingdom divided against itself is laid waste, and a divided household falls. 18And if Satan also is divided against himself, how will his kingdom stand? For you say that I cast out demons by Beelzebul. 19And if I cast out demons by Beelzebul, rby whom do syour sons cast them out? Therefore they will be your judges. 20But if it is by tthe finger of God that I cast out demons, then uthe kingdom of God has come upon you. 21When a strong man, fully armed, guards his own palace, his goods are safe; 22 vbut when one stronger than he attacks him and wovercomes him, he takes away his xarmor in which he trusted and ydivides his spoil. 23 zWhoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters.
