Mark 4:26-29

The Parable of the Seed Growing

26And he said, a“The kingdom of God is as if a man should scatter seed on the ground. 27He sleeps and rises night and day, and the seed sprouts and grows; bhe knows not how. 28The earth produces by itself, first the blade, then the ear, then the full grain in the ear. 29But when the grain is ripe, at once che puts in the sickle, because the harvest has come.”

John 4:35-38

35Do you not say, ‘There are yet four months, then comes the harvest’? Look, I tell you, lift up your eyes, and see that dthe fields are white for harvest. 36Already the one who reaps is receiving wages and gathering fruit for eternal life, so that esower and freaper gmay rejoice together. 37For here the saying holds true, hOne sows and another reaps.’ 38I sent you to reap ithat for which you did not labor. Others have labored, jand you have entered into their labor.”

John 15:1-8

I Am the True Vine

1I am the ktrue vine, and my Father is lthe vinedresser. 2 mEvery branch in me that does not bear fruit nhe takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, othat it may bear more fruit. 3Already pyou are clean qbecause of the word that I have spoken to you. 4 rAbide sin me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. 5I am the vine; tyou are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that ubears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. 6If anyone does not abide in me vhe is thrown away like a branch and withers; wand the branches are gathered, thrown into the fire, and burned. 7If xyou abide in me, and my words abide in you, yask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. 8 zBy this my Father is glorified, that you aabear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples.
