Mark 5:38-39

38They came to the house of the ruler of the synagogue, and Jesus

saw a commotion, people weeping and wailing loudly.
39And when he had entered, he said to them, bWhy are you making a commotion and weeping? The child is not dead but csleeping.”

John 11:4

4But when Jesus heard it he said, dThis illness does not lead to death. It is for ethe glory of God, so that the Son of God may be glorified through it.”

John 11:11-13

11After saying these things, he said to them, Our friend Lazarus fhas fallen asleep, but I go to awaken him.” 12The disciples said to him, “Lord, if he has fallen asleep, he will recover.” 13Now Jesus had spoken of his death, but they thought that he meant taking rest in sleep.
