Mark 6:37-44

37 But he answered them, ^a“You give them something to eat.” And ^bthey said to him, ^c“Shall we go and buy two hundred denarii ^{▼▼A denarius was a day’s wage for a laborer} worth of bread and give it to them to eat?” 38 And he said to them, “How many loaves do you have? Go and see.” And when they had found out, they said, ^e“Five, and two fish.” 39 Then he commanded them all to sit down in groups on the green grass. 40 So they sat down in groups, by hundreds and by fifties. 41 And taking the five loaves and the two fish, he ^flooked up to heaven and ^gsaid a blessing and broke the loaves and gave them to the disciples to set before the people. And he divided the two fish among them all. 42 And they all ate and were satisfied. 43 And they took up twelve baskets full of broken pieces and of the fish. 44 And those who ate the loaves were five thousand men.

Mark 8:5-9

5 And he asked them, “How many loaves do you have?” They said, ^h“Seven.” 6 And he directed the crowd to sit down on the ground. And he took the seven loaves, and ⁱhaving given thanks, he broke them and gave them to his disciples to set before the people; and they set them before the crowd. 7 And they had a few small fish. And ^jhaving blessed them, he said that these also should be set before them. 8 And ^kthey ate and were satisfied. And they took up the broken pieces left over, ^lseven baskets full. 9 And there were about four thousand people. And he sent them away.

John 2:7-9

7 Jesus said to the servants, “Fill the jars with water.” And they filled them up to the brim. 8 And he said to them, “Now draw some out and take it to the master of the feast.” So they took it. 9 When the master of the feast tasted ^mthe water now become wine, and did not know where it came from (though the servants who had drawn the water knew), the master of the feast called the bridegroom
