35For awhoever would save his life
The same Greek word can mean either soul or  life, depending on the context; twice in this verse and once in verse 36 and once in verse 37
will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake cand the gospel’s will save it.

1 Corinthians 9:12

12If others share this rightful claim on you, do not we even more?

Nevertheless, dwe have not made use of this right, but we endure anything erather than put an obstacle in the way of the gospel of Christ.
