The Twelve Apostles

1 aAnd he called to him his twelve disciples and gave them authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal every disease and every affliction.

18 bthey will pick up serpents with their hands; and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; cthey will lay their hands don the sick, and they will recover.”

Many Signs and Wonders Done

12Now many signs and wonders were regularly done among the people lby the hands of the apostles. And they were all mtogether in nSolomon’s Portico. 13None of the rest dared join them, but othe people held them in high esteem. 14And pmore than ever believers were added to the Lord, multitudes of both men and women, 15 qso that they even rcarried out the sick into the streets and laid them on cots and mats, that as Peter came by sat least his shadow might fall on some of them.
