Hebrews 6:4-8

4For it is impossible, in the case of those uwho have once been enlightened, who have tasted vthe heavenly gift, and whave shared in the Holy Spirit, 5and xhave tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the age to come, 6and ythen have fallen away, to restore them again to repentance, since zthey are crucifying once again the Son of God to their own harm and holding him up to contempt. 7For aaland that has drunk the rain that often falls on it, and produces a crop useful to those for whose sake it is cultivated, receives a blessing from God. 8But abif it bears thorns and thistles, it is worthless and near to being cursed, acand its end is to be burned.

Hebrews 10:26-31

26For adif we go on sinning deliberately aeafter receiving the knowledge of the truth, afthere no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, 27 agbut a fearful expectation of judgment, and aha fury of fire that will consume the adversaries. 28 aiAnyone who has set aside the law of Moses dies without mercy ajon the evidence of two or three witnesses. 29How much worse punishment, do you think, will be deserved by the one akwho has trampled underfoot the Son of God, and has profaned althe blood of the covenant amby which he was sanctified, and has anoutraged the Spirit of grace? 30For we know him who said, aoVengeance is mine; I will repay.” And again, ap“The Lord will judge his people.” 31 aqIt is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
