Matthew 10:2-14

2 aThe names of the twelve apostles are these: first, Simon, bwho is called Peter, and cAndrew his brother; dJames the son of Zebedee, and John his brother; 3Philip and Bartholomew; Thomas and eMatthew the tax collector; James the son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus;

Jesus Sends Out the Twelve Apostles

5 hThese twelve Jesus sent out, instructing them, Go nowhere among the Gentiles and enter no town of ithe Samaritans, 6 jbut go rather to kthe lost sheep of lthe house of Israel. 7And proclaim as you go, saying, m‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ 8 nHeal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse lepers,

cast out demons. pYou received without paying; give without pay.
9 qAcquire no gold or silver or copper for your belts, 10no bag for your journey, or two tunics
Greek chiton, a long garment worn under the cloak next to the skin
or sandals or a staff, for sthe laborer deserves his food.
11And whatever town or village you enter, find out who is worthy in it and stay there until you depart. 12As you enter the house, tgreet it. 13And if the house is uworthy, let vyour peace come upon it, but if it is not worthy, let wyour peace return to you. 14And if anyone will not receive you or listen to your words, xshake off the dust from your feet when you leave that house or town.
