Matthew 10:23

23 When they ^apersecute you in one town, ^bflee to the next, for truly, I say to you, you will not have gone through all the towns of Israel ^cbefore the Son of Man comes.

Matthew 21:38

38 But when the tenants saw the son, they said to themselves, ^d‘This is the heir. Come, ^elet us kill him and have his inheritance.’

John 5:16-18

16 And this was why the Jews ^fwere persecuting Jesus, ^gbecause he was doing these things on the Sabbath. 17 But Jesus answered them, “My Father is working until now, and I am working.”

Jesus Is Equal with God

18 This was why the Jews ^hwere seeking all the more to kill him, ⁱbecause not only was he ^jbreaking the Sabbath, but he was even calling God ^khis own Father, ^lmaking himself equal with God.

John 7:19
