Rewards

40 a“Whoever receives you receives me, and bwhoever receives me receives him who sent me. 41 cThe one who receives a prophet because he is a prophet will receive a prophet’s reward, and the one who receives a righteous person because he is a righteous person will receive a righteous person’s reward. 42And dwhoever gives one of ethese little ones even a cup of cold water because he is a disciple, truly, I say to you, he will by no means lose his reward.”

The Final Judgment

31 fWhen the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, gthen he will sit on his glorious throne. 32Before him hwill be gathered iall the nations, and jhe will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates kthe sheep from the goats. 33And he will place the sheep on his right, but the goats on the left. 34Then lthe King will say to mthose on his right, ‘Come, you nwho are blessed by my Father, oinherit pthe kingdom qprepared for you rfrom the foundation of the world. 35For sI was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you tgave me drink, uI was a stranger and you welcomed me, 36 vI was naked and you clothed me, wI was sick and you xvisited me, yI was in prison and you came to me.’ 37Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? 38And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? 39And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ 40And zthe King will answer them, aaTruly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these abmy brothers,

you did it to me.’

Hebrews 13:15-16
