Matthew 11:13-14
13 aFor all the Prophets and the Law prophesied until John, 14and if you are willing to accept it, he is bElijah who is to come.Matthew 14:5

12But I tell you that Elijah has already come, and they did not recognize him, but edid to him whatever they pleased. fSo also the Son of Man will certainly suffer at their hands.” 13 gThen the disciples understood that he was speaking to them of John the Baptist.Matthew 21:24-26
24Jesus answered them, “I also will ask you one question, and if you tell me the answer, then I also will tell you by what authority I do these things. 25The baptism of John, hfrom where did it come? iFrom heaven or from man?” And they discussed it among themselves, saying, “If we say, ‘From heaven,’ he will say to us, j‘Why then did you not believe him?’ 26But if we say, ‘From man,’ kwe are afraid of the crowd, for they all hold that John was la prophet.”Mark 9:11-13
