Matthew 11:20-24

Woe to Unrepentant Cities

20 aThen he began to denounce the cities where most of his mighty works had been done, because they did not repent. 21 bWoe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty works done in you had been done in cTyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes. 22 dBut I tell you, it will be more bearable on ethe day of judgment for fTyre and Sidon than for you. 23And you, gCapernaum, will you be exalted to heaven? You will be brought down to hHades. For if the mighty works done in you had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day. 24 iBut I tell you that jit will be more tolerable on kthe day of judgment for the land of Sodom than for you.”

pLord, who has believed what he heard from us,
and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?”
39Therefore they qcould not believe. For again Isaiah said,

40 r“He has blinded their eyes
and shardened their heart,
lest they see with their eyes,
and understand with their heart, and turn,
and I would heal them.”
