9 What then did you go out to see? ^aA prophet? ^{▼▼Some manuscripts Why then did you go out? To see a prophet?} Yes, I tell you, and more than a prophet. 10 This is he of whom it is written,

^c“‘Behold, I send my messenger before your face,
who will prepare your way before you.’
11 Truly, I say to you, among those born of women there has arisen no one greater than John the Baptist. Yet the one who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he. 12 ^dFrom the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven has suffered violence, ^{▼▼Or has been coming violently} and the violent take it by force. 13 ^fFor all the Prophets and the Law prophesied until John, 14 and if you are willing to accept it, he is ^gElijah who is to come.

Luke 16:29

29 But Abraham said, ‘They have ^hMoses and the Prophets; ⁱlet them hear them.’

Luke 16:31

31 He said to him, ‘If they do not hear ^jMoses and the Prophets, ^kneither will they be convinced if someone should rise from the dead.’”

John 1:45

45 Philip found ^lNathanael and said to him, “We have found him of whom ^mMoses in the Law and also the prophets wrote, Jesus ⁿof Nazareth, ^othe son of Joseph.”

Acts 3:18
