Matthew 12:22-24

Blasphemy Against the Holy Spirit

22 aThen a demon-oppressed man who was blind and mute was brought to him, and he healed him, so that the man spoke and saw. 23 bAnd all the people were amazed, and said, cCan this be the Son of David?” 24But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, d“It is only by Beelzebul, the prince of demons, that this man casts out demons.”

John 9:24-34

24So for the second time they called the man who had been blind and said to him, eGive glory to God. We know that fthis man is a sinner.” 25He answered, “Whether he is a sinner I do not know. One thing I do know, that though I gwas blind, now I see.” 26They said to him, “What did he do to you? How did he open your eyes?” 27He answered them, h“I have told you already, and you would not listen. Why do you want to hear it again? Do you also want to become his disciples?” 28And they reviled him, saying, “You are his disciple, but iwe are disciples of Moses. 29We know that God has spoken to Moses, but as for this man, jwe do not know where he comes from.” 30The man answered, “Why, this is kan amazing thing! lYou do not know where he comes from, and yet he opened my eyes. 31We know that mGod does not listen to sinners, but nif anyone is a worshiper of God and does his will, God listens to him. 32Never since the world began has it been heard that anyone opened the eyes of a man born blind. 33 oIf this man were not from God, he could do nothing.” 34They answered him, pYou were born in utter sin, and would you teach us?” And they qcast him out.

John 10:37-38

37 rIf I am not doing the works of my Father, then do not believe me; 38but if I do them, seven though you do not believe me, believe the works, that you may know and understand that tthe Father is in me and I am in the Father.”

John 11:45-50

The Plot to Kill Jesus

45 uMany of the Jews therefore, vwho had come with Mary and whad seen what he did, believed in him, 46but some of them went to the Pharisees and told them what Jesus had done. 47So the chief priests and the Pharisees xgathered ythe council and said, zWhat are we to do? For this man performs many signs. 48If we let him go on like this, everyone will believe in him, and aathe Romans will come and take away both our abplace and our nation.” 49But one of them, acCaiaphas, adwho was high priest that year, said to them, “You know nothing at all. 50Nor do you understand that aeit is better for you that one man should die for the people, not that the whole nation should perish.”
