Matthew 12:30

30 aWhoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters.

Romans 7:7-8

The Law and Sin

7What then shall we say? That the law is sin? By no means! Yet if it had not been for the law, bI would not have known sin. For I would not have known what it is to covet if cthe law had not said, “You shall not covet.” 8But sin, dseizing an opportunity through the commandment, produced in me all kinds of covetousness. eFor apart from the law, sin lies dead.

Romans 7:10-14

10The very commandment fthat promised life proved to be death to me. 11For sin, gseizing an opportunity through the commandment, hdeceived me and through it killed me. 12So ithe law is holy, and the commandment is holy and righteous and good.

13Did that which is good, then, bring death to me? By no means! It was sin, producing death in me through what is good, in order that sin might be shown to be sin, and through the commandment might become sinful beyond measure. 14For we know that the law is spiritual, but I am of the flesh, jsold under sin.

Romans 8:5-8

5For kthose who live according to the flesh set their minds on lthe things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on mthe things of the Spirit. 6For to set nthe mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace. 7For the mind that is set on the flesh is ohostile to God, for it does not submit to God’s law; pindeed, it cannot. 8Those who are in the flesh cannot please God.

Galatians 3:21

21Is the law then contrary to the promises of God? Certainly not! For qif a law had been given that could give life, then righteousness would indeed be by the law.
