Matthew 12:31-34

31 aTherefore I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven people, but bthe blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven. 32And whoever speaks a word cagainst the Son of Man dwill be forgiven, but ewhoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in fthis age or in the age to come.

A Tree Is Known by Its Fruit

33 gEither make the tree good and its fruit good, or make the tree bad and its fruit bad, hfor the tree is known by its fruit. 34 iYou brood of vipers! How can you speak good, jwhen you are evil? kFor out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.

5So also the tongue is a small member, yet mit boasts of great things.

How great a forest is set ablaze by such a small fire!
6And nthe tongue is a fire, a world of unrighteousness. The tongue is set among our members, ostaining the whole body, setting on fire the entire course of life,

and set on fire by hell.

7For every kind of beast and bird, of reptile and sea creature, can be tamed and has been tamed by mankind, 8but no human being can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, rfull of deadly poison.
