Matthew 13:15

15 For this people’s heart has grown dull,
and with their ears ^athey can barely hear,
and ^btheir eyes they have closed,
lest they should see with their eyes
and hear with their ears
and ^cunderstand with their heart
and ^dturn, and I would heal them.’

Matthew 13:19-22

19 When anyone hears the word of ^ethe kingdom and ^fdoes not understand it, ^gthe evil one comes and snatches away what has been sown in his heart. This is what was sown along the path. 20 As for what was sown on rocky ground, this is the one who hears the word and immediately ^hreceives it with joy, 21 yet he has no root in himself, but ⁱendures for a while, and when tribulation or persecution arises on account of the word, immediately ^jhe falls away. ^{▼▼Or stumbles} 22 As for what was sown among thorns, this is the one who hears the word, but ^lthe cares of ^mthe world and ⁿthe deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and it proves unfruitful.

John 5:44

44 How can you believe, when you receive glory from one another and ^odo not seek the glory that comes from ^pthe only God?

John 8:43

43 ^qWhy do you not understand what I say? It is because you cannot ^rbear to hear my word.

John 8:45-47

45 But because I tell the truth, you do not believe me. 46 Which one of you convicts me of sin? If I tell the truth, why do you not believe me? 47 ^sWhoever is of God hears the words of God. ^tThe reason why you do not hear them is that ^uyou are not of God.”

John 12:39-43

39 Therefore they ^vcould not believe. For again Isaiah said,

lest they see with their eyes,
and understand with their heart, and turn,
and I would heal them.”

1 Corinthians 2:14

14 The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are ^affolly to him, and ^aghe is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned.
