Matthew 13:19
19When anyone hears the word of athe kingdom and bdoes not understand it, cthe evil one comes and snatches away what has been sown in his heart. This is what was sown along the path.1 John 2:13-14
13I am writing to you, fathers,because you know dhim who is from the beginning.
I am writing to you, young men,
because eyou have overcome the evil one.
I write to you, children,
because fyou know the Father.
14I write to you, fathers,
because you know ghim who is from the beginning.
I write to you, young men,
because hyou are strong,
and the word of God abides in you,
and you have overcome the evil one.

12We should not be like iCain, who was of the evil one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? jBecause his own deeds were evil and his brother’s righteous.
