Jesus Walks on the Water

22 aImmediately he bmade the disciples get into the boat and go before him to the other side, while he dismissed the crowds. 23And after he had dismissed the crowds, che went up on the mountain by himself to pray. When devening came, he was there alone, 24but the boat by this time was a long way

25And gin the fourth watch of the night he came to them, walking on the sea. 26But when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, hthey were terrified, and said, “It is a ghost!” and they cried out in fear. 27But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, i“Take heart; it is I. jDo not be afraid.”

28And Peter answered him, “Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the water.” 29He said, Come.” So Peter got out of the boat and kwalked on the water and came to Jesus. 30But when he saw the wind,

he was afraid, and beginning to sink he cried out, mLord, save me.”
31Jesus immediately reached out his hand and took hold of him, saying to him, n“O you of little faith, why did you odoubt?” 32And when they got into the boat, pthe wind ceased. 33And qthose in the boat rworshiped him, saying, sTruly you are tthe Son of God.”

45 uImmediately he vmade his disciples get into wthe boat and go before him to the other side, xto Bethsaida, while he dismissed the crowd. 46And after he had taken leave of them, yhe went up on the mountain to pray. 47And when zevening came, the boat was out on the sea, and he was alone on the land. 48And he saw that they were making headway painfully, for the wind was against them. And about aathe fourth watch of the night
That is, between 3 a.m. and 6 a.m.
he came to them, walking on the sea. acHe meant to pass by them,
49but when they saw him walking on the sea they thought it was a ghost, and cried out, 50for they all saw him and adwere terrified. But immediately he spoke to them and said, ae“Take heart; it is I. afDo not be afraid.” 51And he got into the boat with them, and the wind ceased. And they were utterly astounded, 52for agthey did not understand about the loaves, but their hearts ahwere hardened.
