32 r, sAs they went out, they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name. They compelled this man to tcarry his cross. 33 uAnd when they came to a place called Golgotha (which means Place of a Skull), 34 vthey offered him wine to drink, mixed with wgall, but when he tasted it, he would not drink it. 35And when they had crucified him, xthey divided his garments among them by casting lots. 36Then they sat down and ykept watch over him there. 37And over his head they put the charge against him, which read, “This is Jesus, zthe King of the Jews.” 38Then two aarobbers were crucified with him, abone on the right and one on the left. 39And acthose who passed by adderided him, aewagging their heads 40and saying, af“You who would destroy the temple and rebuild it in three days, save yourself! agIf you are ahthe Son of God, come down from the cross.” 41So also the chief priests, with the scribes and elders, mocked him, saying, 42 ai“He saved others; ajhe cannot save himself. akHe is the King of Israel; let him come down now from the cross, and we will believe in him. 43 alHe trusts in God; let God deliver him now, if he desires him. For he said, ‘I am the Son of God.’” 44 amAnd the robbers who were crucified with him also reviled him in the same way.

46And about the ninth hour Jesus aqcried out with a loud voice, saying, arEli, Eli, lema sabachthani?” that is, My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” 47And some of the bystanders, hearing it, said, “This man is calling Elijah.” 48And one of them at once ran and took a sponge, filled it with assour wine, and put it on a reed and atgave it to him to drink. 49But the others said, “Wait, let us see whether Elijah will come to save him.” 50And Jesus aucried out again with a loud voice and avyielded up his spirit.

Hebrews 10:5-12

5Consequently, bgwhen Christ
Greek he
came into the world, he said,

biSacrifices and offerings you have not desired,
but a body have you prepared for me;
6in burnt offerings and sin offerings
you have taken no pleasure.
7Then I said, ‘Behold, I have come to do your will, O God,
as it is written of me in the scroll of the book.’”
8When he said above, “You have neither desired nor taken pleasure in bjsacrifices and offerings and burnt offerings and sin offerings” (these are offered according to the law), 9then he added, bkBehold, I have come to do your will.” He does away with the first in order to establish the second. 10And by that will blwe have been sanctified through the offering of bmthe body of Jesus Christ bnonce for all.

11And every priest stands bodaily at his service, bpoffering repeatedly the same sacrifices, bqwhich can never take away sins. 12But when Christ
Greek this one
had offered for all time a single sacrifice for sins, he bssat down at the right hand of God,
