21 aFrom that time Jesus began to show his disciples that bhe must go to Jerusalem and csuffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and on dthe third day be raised. 22And Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him, saying, “Far be it from you, Lord!
Or “[May God be] merciful to you, Lord!”
This shall never happen to you.”
23But he turned and said to Peter, fGet behind me, Satan! You are ga hindrance

to me. For you iare not setting your mind on the things of God, but on the things of man.”

Jesus Foretells His Death a Third Time

17 jAnd as Jesus was going up to Jerusalem, he took the twelve disciples aside, and on the way he said to them, 18See, kwe are going up to Jerusalem. And the Son of Man will be delivered over to the chief priests and scribes, and they will lcondemn him to death 19and mdeliver him over to the Gentiles nto be mocked and flogged and ocrucified, and he will be raised on pthe third day.”
