If Your Brother Sins Against You

15 ^a“If your brother sins against you, ^bgo and tell him his fault, between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have ^cgained your brother. 16 But if he does not listen, take one or two others along with you, that every charge may be established ^dby the evidence of two or three witnesses. 17 If he refuses to listen to them, ^etell it to the church. And if he refuses to listen even to the church, ^flet him be to you as ^ga Gentile and ^ha tax collector.

1 Corinthians 5:9-13

9 I wrote to you in my letter ⁱnot to associate with sexually immoral people— 10 ^jnot at all meaning ^kthe sexually immoral of this world, or the greedy and swindlers, or idolaters, ^lsince then you would need to go out of the world. 11 But now I am writing to you not to associate with anyone ^mwho bears the name of brother if he is guilty of sexual immorality or greed, or is an idolater, reviler, drunkard, or swindler—not even to eat with such a one. 12 For what have I to do with judging ⁿoutsiders? ^oIs it not those inside the church ^{▼▼Greek those inside} whom you are to judge? 13 God judges ^{▼▼Or will judge} those outside. ^r“Purge the evil person from among you.”
