The Rich Young Man

16 aAnd behold, a man came up to him, saying, “Teacher, what good deed must I do to bhave ceternal life?” 17And he said to him, Why do you ask me about what is good? There is only one who is good. dIf you would enter life, keep the commandments.” 18He said to him, “Which ones?” And Jesus said, e“You shall not murder, You shall not commit adultery, You shall not steal, You shall not bear false witness, 19Honor your father and mother, and, fYou shall love your neighbor as yourself.” 20The young man said to him, gAll these I have kept. What do I still lack?”

John 6:27-29

27 hDo not work for the food that perishes, but for ithe food that endures to eternal life, which jthe Son of Man will give to you. For on khim God the Father has lset his seal.” 28Then they said to him, “What must we do, to be doing mthe works of God?” 29Jesus answered them, This is the work of God, nthat you believe in him whom ohe has sent.”

Acts 16:30-34

30Then he brought them out and said, “Sirs, pwhat must I do to be qsaved?” 31And they said, rBelieve in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you sand your household.” 32And they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all who were in his house. 33And he took them tthe same hour of the night and washed their wounds; and he uwas baptized at once, he and all his family. 34Then he brought them up into his house and set food before them. And he vrejoiced along with his entire household that he had believed in God.

Whoever does not believe God adhas made him a liar, aebecause he has not believed in the testimony that God has borne concerning his Son. 11And this is the testimony, that God gave us afeternal life, and agthis life is in his Son. 12 ahWhoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.
