Matthew 19:7-8
7They said to him, a“Why then did Moses command one to give a certificate of divorce and to send her away?” 8He said to them, “Because of your bhardness of heart Moses allowed you to divorce your wives, but from the beginning it was not so.John 8:5-6
5Now cin the Law, Moses commanded us dto stone such women. So what do you say?” 6This they said eto test him, fthat they might have some charge to bring against him. Jesus bent down and wrote with his finger on the ground.John 9:28-29
28And they reviled him, saying, “You are his disciple, but gwe are disciples of Moses. 29We know that God has spoken to Moses, but as for this man, hwe do not know where he comes from.”Romans 10:5-10
The Message of Salvation to All
5For iMoses writes about the righteousness that is based on the law, that jthe person who does the commandments shall live by them. 6But kthe righteousness based on faith says, l“Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’” (that is, to bring Christ down) 7“or ‘Who will descend into the mabyss?’” (that is, nto bring Christ up from the dead). 8But what does it say? o“The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith that we proclaim); 9because, if pyou confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and qbelieve in your heart rthat God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.
