30 And behold, there were two blind men sitting by the roadside, and when they heard that Jesus was passing by, they cried out, “Lord, ^{▼▼Some manuscripts omit Lord} have mercy on us, ^bSon of David!” 31 The crowd ^crebuked them, telling them to be silent, but they cried out all the more, “Lord, have mercy on us, Son of David!” 32 And stopping, Jesus called them and said, “What do you want me to do for you?” 33 They said to him, “Lord, let our eyes be opened.” 34 And Jesus in pity touched their eyes, and immediately they recovered their sight and followed him.

Jesus Heals a Blind Man at Bethsaida

John 9:1-7

Jesus Heals a Man Born Blind

1 As he passed by, he saw a man blind from birth. 2 And his disciples asked him, ^q“Rabbi, ^rwho sinned, ^sthis man or ^this parents, that he was born blind?” 3 Jesus answered, “It was not that this man sinned, or his parents, but ^uthat the works of God might be displayed in him. 4 We must ^vwork the works of him who sent me ^wwhile it is day; night is coming, when no one can work. 5 As long as I am in the world, ^xI am the light of the world.” 6 Having said these things, ^yhe spit on the ground and made mud with the saliva. ^zThen he anointed the man’s eyes with the mud 7 and said to him, “Go, wash in ^aathe pool of Siloam” (which means Sent). So he went and washed and ^abcame back seeing.

John 9:39
