Jesus Cleanses the Temple

12 aAnd Jesus entered the temple
Some manuscripts add of God
and drove out all who sold and bought in the temple, and he overturned the tables of cthe money-changers and the seats of those who sold dpigeons.
13He said to them, “It is written, eMy house shall be called a house of prayer,’ but fyou make it a den of robbers.”

14 gAnd the blind and the lame came to him in the temple, and he healed them. 15 hBut when the chief priests and the scribes saw the wonderful things that he did, and the children crying out in the temple, iHosanna to the Son of David!” they were indignant,

Matthew 21:23

The Authority of Jesus Challenged

23 jAnd when he entered the temple, the chief priests and the elders of the people came up to him kas he was teaching, and said, lBy what authority are you doing these things, and who gave you this authority?”

Matthew 21:45-46

45When the chief priests and the Pharisees heard his parables, they perceived that he was speaking about them. 46And malthough they were seeking to arrest him, nthey feared the crowds, because they held him to be oa prophet.

Luke 21:37-38

37And pevery day he was teaching in the temple, but qat night he went out and lodged on rthe mount called Olivet. 38And early in the morning sall the people came to him in the temple to hear him.

John 7:25-26

Can This Be the Christ?

25Some of the people of Jerusalem therefore said, “Is not this the man whom tthey seek to kill? 26And here he is, uspeaking openly, and they say nothing to him! Can it be that vthe authorities really know that this is the Christ?
