Matthew 21:13

13He said to them, “It is written, aMy house shall be called a house of prayer,’ but byou make it a den of robbers.”

12He who is ca hired hand and not a shepherd, who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and dleaves the sheep and flees, and the wolf snatches them and escatters them. 13He flees because fhe is a hired hand and gcares nothing for the sheep.

John 12:5-6

5Why was this ointment not sold for three hundred denarii
A  denarius was a day’s wage for a laborer
and igiven to the poor?”
6He said this, not because he cared about the poor, but because he was a thief, and jhaving charge of the moneybag he used to help himself to what was put into it.

Acts 8:18-21

18Now when Simon saw that the Spirit was given through the laying on of the apostleshands, he offered them money, 19saying, “Give me this power also, so that anyone on whom I lay my hands may receive the Holy Spirit.” 20But Peter said to him, k“May your silver perish with you, because you thought you could obtain the gift of God lwith money! 21You have neither part nor lot in this matter, for myour heart is not right before God.

Acts 20:33

33 nI coveted no one’s silver or gold or apparel.

Romans 16:18

and qby smooth talk and flattery they deceive the hearts of the naive.
