Matthew 21:37-40

37 Finally he sent his son to them, saying, ‘They will respect my son.’ 38 But when the tenants saw the son, they said to themselves, ^a‘This is the heir. Come, ^blet us kill him and have his inheritance.’ 39 And they took him and ^cthrew him out of the vineyard and killed him. 40 ^dWhen therefore the owner of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those tenants?”

Mark 12:6-9

6 He had still one other, ^ea beloved son. ^fFinally he sent him to them, saying, ‘They will respect my son.’ 7 But those tenants said to one another, ^g‘This is the heir. Come, ^hlet us kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.’ 8 And they took him and killed him and ⁱthrew him out of the vineyard. 9 What will the owner of the vineyard do? ^jHe will ^kcome and destroy the tenants and ^lgive the vineyard to others.
