Matthew 23:13

13But woe ato you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you bshut the kingdom of heaven in people’s faces. For you cneither enter yourselves nor allow those who would enter to go in.
Some manuscripts add here (or after verse 12) verse 14: Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you devour widows’ houses and for a pretense you make long prayers; therefore you will receive the greater condemnation

Greek Ioudaioi probably refers here to Jewish religious leaders, and others under their influence, in that time; also verse 13
gwere jealous, and taking hsome wicked men of the rabble, they formed a mob, set the city in an uproar, and attacked the house of Jason, seeking to bring them out to the crowd.

1 Thessalonians 2:14-16

The Greek word Ioudaioi can refer to Jewish religious leaders and others under their influence, who opposed the Christian faith in that time
15 nwho killed both the Lord Jesus and othe prophets, and drove us out, and displease God and poppose all mankind 16 qby hindering us from speaking to the Gentiles that they might be saved—so as always rto fill up the measure of their sins. But swrath has come upon them at last!
