Romans 2:17-24

Romans 3:9-19

No One Is Righteous

9 What then? Are we Jews ^{▼▼Greek Are we} any better off? ^{▼▼Or at any disadvantage?} No, not at all. For we have already charged that all, both ^xJews and ^yGreeks, are ^zunder sin, 10 as it is written:

11 no one understands;

12 All have turned aside; together they have become worthless;

they use their tongues to deceive.”

16 in their paths are ruin and misery,
17 and ^agthe way of peace they have not known.”
18 ^ah“There is no fear of God before their eyes.”
19 Now we know that whatever ^aithe law says it speaks to those who are under the law, ^ajso that every mouth may be stopped, and ^akthe whole world may be held accountable to God.

2 Peter 2:19

19 They promise them ^alfreedom, ^ambut they themselves are slaves ^{▼▼Greek bondservants} of corruption. For whatever overcomes a person, to that he is enslaved.
