Matthew 23:34-37

34 ^aTherefore ^bI send you ^cprophets and wise men and ^dscribes, ^esome of whom you will kill and crucify, and ^fsome you will ^gflog in your synagogues and ^hpersecute from town to town, 35 so that on you may come all ⁱthe righteous blood shed on earth, from the blood of righteous ^jAbel to the blood of ^kZechariah the son of Barachiah, ^{▼▼Some manuscripts omit the son of Barachiah} whom you murdered between ^mthe sanctuary and ⁿthe altar. 36 Truly, I say to you, ^oall these things will come upon this generation.

Lament over Jerusalem

37 ^p“O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the city that ^qkills the prophets and stones those who are sent to it! How often would I have ^rgathered ^syour children together ^tas a hen gathers her brood ^uunder her wings, and ^vyou were not willing!

Luke 24:47

47 and that ^wrepentance for the ^{▼▼Some manuscripts for} forgiveness of sins should be proclaimed ^yin his name ^zto all nations, ^aabeginning from Jerusalem.

Acts 13:46-47
