Matthew 25:31-40

The Final Judgment

31 aWhen the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, bthen he will sit on his glorious throne. 32Before him cwill be gathered dall the nations, and ehe will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates fthe sheep from the goats. 33And he will place the sheep on his right, but the goats on the left. 34Then gthe King will say to hthose on his right, ‘Come, you iwho are blessed by my Father, jinherit kthe kingdom lprepared for you mfrom the foundation of the world. 35For nI was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you ogave me drink, pI was a stranger and you welcomed me, 36 qI was naked and you clothed me, rI was sick and you svisited me, tI was in prison and you came to me.’ 37Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? 38And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? 39And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ 40And uthe King will answer them, vTruly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these wmy brothers,
Or  brothers and sisters
you did it to me.’

2 Corinthians 5:14

1 Thessalonians 1:3

3remembering before aaour God and Father abyour work of faith and labor of aclove and adsteadfastness of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.

Hebrews 11:8

8By faith aeAbraham obeyed when he was called to go out to a place afthat he was to receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going.

Hebrews 11:17-19

17By faith agAbraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac, and he who had received the promises was in the act of offering up his only son, 18of whom it was said, ahThrough Isaac shall your offspring be named.” 19 aiHe considered that God was able even to raise him from the dead, from which, figuratively speaking, he did receive him back.

James 2:14-26

Faith Without Works Is Dead

14What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith ajbut does not have works? Can that faith save him? 15 akIf a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, 16 aland one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and filled,” without giving them the things needed for the body, what good
Or benefit
is that?
17So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.

18But someone will say, “You have faith and I have works.” Show me your faith anapart from your works, and I will show you my faith aoby my works. 19 apYou believe that God is one; you do well. Even aqthe demons believeand shudder! 20Do you want to be shown, you foolish person, that faith apart from works is useless? 21 arWas not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered up his son Isaac on the altar? 22You see that asfaith was active along with his works, and faith was completed atby his works; 23and the Scripture was fulfilled that says, auAbraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness”—and he was called a avfriend of God. 24You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone. 25And in the same way was not also awRahab the prostitute justified by works axwhen she received the messengers and sent them out by another way? 26For as the body apart from the spirit is dead, so also faith apart from works is dead.
