Matthew 25:31-46

The Final Judgment

31 ^a“When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, ^bthen he will sit on his glorious throne. 32Before him ^cwill be gathered ^dall the nations, and ^ehe will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates ^fthe sheep from the goats. 33And he will place the sheep on his right, but the goats on the left. 34Then ^gthe King will say to ^hthose on his right, ‘Come, you ⁱwho are blessed by my Father, ^jinherit ^kthe kingdom ^lprepared for you ^mfrom the foundation of the world. 35For ⁿI was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you ^ogave me drink, ^pI was a stranger and you welcomed me, 36 ^qI was naked and you clothed me, ^rI was sick and you ^svisited me, ^tI was in prison and you came to me.’ 37Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? 38And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? 39And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ 40And ^uthe King will answer them, ^v‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these ^wmy brothers, ▼

41“Then he will say to those on his left, ^y‘Depart from me, you ^zcursed, into ^aathe eternal fire prepared for ^abthe devil and his angels. 42For ^acI was hungry and you gave me no food, I was thirsty and you gave me no drink, 43I was a stranger and you did not welcome me, naked and you did not clothe me, sick and in prison and you did not visit me.’ 44Then they also will answer, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to you?’ 45Then he will answer them, saying, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did not do it to one of the least of these, ^adyou did not do it to me.’ 46And these will go away ^aeinto eternal punishment, but the righteous ^afinto ^ageternal life.”

John 5:22-29

22 ^ahFor the Father judges no one, but ^aihas given all judgment to the Son, 23that all may honor the Son, just as they ^ajhonor the Father. ^akWhoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent him. 24Truly, truly, I say to you, ^alwhoever hears my word and ^ambelieves him who sent me has eternal life. He ^andoes not come into judgment, but ^aohas passed from death to life.

25“Truly, truly, I say to you, ^apan hour is coming, and is now here, when ^aqthe dead will hear ^arthe voice of the Son of God, and those who hear ^aswill live. 26 ^atFor as the Father has life in himself, ^auso he has granted the Son also to have life in himself. 27And he ^avhas given him authority to execute judgment, because he is the Son of Man. 28Do not marvel at this, for ^awan hour is coming when ^axall who are in the tombs will hear his voice 29and come out, ^aythose who have done good to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil to the resurrection of judgment.

Acts 17:31

31because he has fixed ^aza day on which ^bahe will judge the world ^bbin righteousness by a man whom he has appointed; and ^bcof this he has given assurance to all ^bdby raising him from the dead.”

Romans 14:9-10

9For to this end Christ ^bedied and lived again, that he might be Lord both ^bfof the dead and of the living.

10Why do you pass judgment on your brother? Or you, why do you despise your brother? For ^bgwe will all stand before ^bhthe judgment seat of God;

2 Corinthians 5:10

10For ^biwe must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, ^bjso that each one may receive what is due for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil.

1 ^bkI charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, ^blwho is to judge the living and the dead, and by ^bmhis appearing and his kingdom:

2 Timothy 4:8

8Henceforth there is ^bnlaid up for me ^bothe crown of righteousness, which the Lord, ^bpthe righteous judge, will award to me on ^bqthat day, and not only to me but also to all ^brwho have loved his appearing.
