No One Knows That Day or Hour

32But concerning that day or that hour, fno one knows, not even the angels in heaven, gnor the Son, hbut only the Father. 33 iBe on guard, jkeep awake.
Some manuscripts add and pray
For you do not know when the time will come.
34 lIt is like a man mgoing on a journey, when he leaves home and puts his servants
Greek bondservants
in charge, oeach with his work, and commands pthe doorkeeper to stay awake.
35 qTherefore stay awakefor you do not know when the master of the house will come, rin the evening, or sat midnight, or twhen the rooster crows,
That is, the third watch of the night, between midnight and 3 a.m.
or vin the morning
36lest whe come suddenly and xfind you asleep. 37And what I say to you I say to all: yStay awake.”
