14 aThen one of the twelve, whose name was bJudas Iscariot, went to the chief priests 15and said, “What will you give me if I deliver him over to you?” And they cpaid him dthirty pieces of silver. 16And from that moment he sought an opportunity eto betray him.

Matthew 27:3-5

Judas Hangs Himself

3Then when fJudas, his betrayer, saw that Jesus

4saying, “I have sinned by betraying innocent blood.” They said, “What is that to us? jSee to it yourself.” 5And throwing down the pieces of silver into the temple, khe departed, and he went and hanged himself.

John 6:70-71

70Jesus answered them, l“Did I not choose you, mthe twelve? And yet one of you is na devil.” 71He spoke of Judas othe son of Simon Iscariot, for phe, one of the twelve, was going to betray him.
