14 aThen one of the twelve, whose name was bJudas Iscariot, went to the chief priests 15and said, “What will you give me if I deliver him over to you?” And they cpaid him dthirty pieces of silver. 16And from that moment he sought an opportunity eto betray him.

Judas Hangs Himself

3Then when hJudas, his betrayer, saw that Jesus

was condemned, jhe changed his mind and brought back kthe thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and the elders,
4saying, “I have sinned by betraying innocent blood.” They said, “What is that to us? lSee to it yourself.” 5And throwing down the pieces of silver into the temple, mhe departed, and he went and hanged himself.

John 6:64

64But nthere are some of you who do not believe.” (For Jesus oknew from the beginning who those were who did not believe, and pwho it was who would betray him.)

71He spoke of Judas qthe son of Simon Iscariot, for rhe, one of the twelve, was going to betray him.

John 12:4-6

4But Judas Iscariot, one of his disciples (he who was about to betray him), said, 5Why was this ointment not sold for three hundred denarii
A  denarius was a day’s wage for a laborer
and tgiven to the poor?”
6He said this, not because he cared about the poor, but because he was a thief, and uhaving charge of the moneybag he used to help himself to what was put into it.

2During supper, when vthe devil had already put it into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, to betray him,

26Jesus answered, wIt is he to whom I will give this morsel of bread xwhen I have dipped it.” So when he had dipped the morsel, yhe gave it to Judas, zthe son of Simon Iscariot. 27Then after he had taken the morsel, aaSatan entered into him. Jesus said to him, abWhat you are going to do, do quickly.” 28Now no one at the table knew why he said this to him. 29Some thought that, acbecause Judas had the moneybag, Jesus was telling him, “Buy what we need adfor the feast,” or that he should aegive something to the poor. 30So, after receiving the morsel of bread, he immediately went out. afAnd it was night.
