3 aThen the chief priests and the elders of the people gathered in bthe palace of the high priest, whose name was cCaiaphas, 4 dand plotted together in order to arrest Jesus by stealth and kill him.

1 eWhen morning came, all the chief priests and the elders of the people ftook counsel against Jesus to put him to death. 2And they bound him and gled him away and hdelivered him over to iPilate the governor.
