Matthew 26:52-54
52Then Jesus said to him, “Put your sword back into its place. For aall who take the sword will perish by the sword. 53 bDo you think that I cannot appeal to my Father, and he will at once send me cmore than twelve dlegions of angels? 54 eBut how then should the Scriptures be fulfilled, that it must be so?”John 18:36
36Jesus answered, f“My kingdom gis not of this world. If my kingdom were of this world, hmy servants would have been fighting, that iI might not be delivered over to the Jews. But my kingdom is not from the world.”2 Corinthians 10:3-4

The Whole Armor of God
10Finally, nbe strong in the Lord and in othe strength of his might. 11 pPut on qthe whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against rthe schemes of the devil. 12For swe do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against tthe rulers, against the authorities, against uthe cosmic powers over vthis present darkness, against wthe spiritual forces of evil xin the heavenly places. 13Therefore ytake up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in zthe evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. 14Stand therefore, aahaving fastened on the belt of truth, and abhaving put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15and, acas shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. 16In all circumstances take up adthe shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all aethe flaming darts of afthe evil one; 17and take agthe helmet of salvation, and ahthe sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, 18praying aiat all times ajin the Spirit, akwith all prayer and supplication. To that end, alkeep alert with all perseverance, making amsupplication for all the saints,1 Thessalonians 5:8
8But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, anhaving put on the breastplate of aofaith and love, and for a helmet the hope of salvation.1 Peter 5:9
9 apResist him, aqfirm in your faith, knowing that arthe same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world.
