At last ^gtwo came forward 61 and said, “This man said, ^h‘I am able to ⁱdestroy the temple of God, and to rebuild it in three days.’” 62 And the high priest stood up and said, “Have you no answer to make? What is it that these men testify against you?” ^{▼▼Or Have you no answer to what these men testify against you?} 63 ^kBut Jesus remained silent. ^lAnd the high priest said to him, ^m“I adjure you by ⁿthe living God, ^otell us if you are ^pthe Christ, ^qthe Son of God.” 64 Jesus said to him, ^r“You have said so. But I tell you, from now on ^syou will see the Son of Man ^tseated at the right hand of Power and ^ucoming on the clouds of heaven.” 65 Then the high priest ^vtore his robes and said, ^w“He has uttered blasphemy. What further witnesses do we need? You have now heard his blasphemy. 66 What is your judgment?” They answered, ^x“He deserves death.” 67 Then ^ythey spit in his face ^zand ^aastruck him. And some slapped him, 68 saying, “Prophesy to us, you ^abChrist! Who is it that struck you?”
