Jesus Delivered to Pilate
1 aWhen morning came, all the chief priests and the elders of the people btook counsel against Jesus to put him to death. 2And they bound him and cled him away and ddelivered him over to ePilate the governor.Judas Hangs Himself
3Then when fJudas, his betrayer, saw that Jesus ▼▼Greek he
was condemned, hhe changed his mind and brought back ithe thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and the elders, 4saying, “I have sinned by betraying innocent blood.” They said, “What is that to us? jSee to it yourself.” 5And throwing down the pieces of silver into the temple, khe departed, and he went and hanged himself. 6But the chief priests, taking the pieces of silver, said, “It is not lawful to put them into lthe treasury, since it is blood money.” 7So they took counsel and bought with them the potter’s field as a burial place for strangers. 8Therefore mthat field has been called the Field of Blood nto this day. 9 oThen was fulfilled what had been spoken by the prophet Jeremiah, saying, p“And they took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of him on whom a price had been set by some of the sons of Israel, 10and they gave them for the potter’s field, as the Lord directed me.” Mark 15:1-5
Jesus Delivered to Pilate
1 qAnd as soon as it was morning, the chief priests rheld a consultation with the elders and scribes and the whole council. And sthey bound Jesus and tled him away and udelivered him over to vPilate. 2 wAnd Pilate asked him, x“Are you the King of the Jews?” And he answered him, y“You have said so.” 3And the chief priests accused him of many things. 4And Pilate again asked him, z“Have you no answer to make? See how many charges they bring against you.” 5But Jesus aamade no further answer, so that Pilate was amazed.Luke 23:1-5
Jesus Before Pilate
1 abThen the whole company of them arose and brought him before Pilate. 2And they began to accuse him, saying, “We found this man acmisleading our nation and adforbidding us to give tribute to aeCaesar, and saying that he himself is Christ, afa king.” 3 agAnd Pilate asked him, ah“Are you the King of the Jews?” And he answered him, ai“You have said so.” 4Then Pilate said to the chief priests and the crowds, aj“I find no guilt in this man.” 5But they were urgent, saying, “He stirs up the people, teaching throughout all Judea, akfrom Galilee even to this place.”Acts 3:13
