1 aWhen morning came, all the chief priests and the elders of the people btook counsel against Jesus to put him to death. 2And they bound him and cled him away and ddelivered him over to ePilate the governor.

1 vThen the whole company of them arose and brought him before Pilate. 2And they began to accuse him, saying, “We found this man wmisleading our nation and xforbidding us to give tribute to yCaesar, and saying that he himself is Christ, za king.” 3 aaAnd Pilate asked him, abAre you the King of the Jews?” And he answered him, acYou have said so.” 4Then Pilate said to the chief priests and the crowds, ad“I find no guilt in this man.” 5But they were urgent, saying, “He stirs up the people, teaching throughout all Judea, aefrom Galilee even to this place.”
