Luke 23:2-5

2And they began to accuse him, saying, “We found this man bmisleading our nation and cforbidding us to give tribute to dCaesar, and saying that he himself is Christ, ea king.” 3 fAnd Pilate asked him, gAre you the King of the Jews?” And he answered him, hYou have said so.” 4Then Pilate said to the chief priests and the crowds, i“I find no guilt in this man.” 5But they were urgent, saying, “He stirs up the people, teaching throughout all Judea, jfrom Galilee even to this place.”

John 18:29-31

29 kSo Pilate went outside to them and said, “What accusation do you bring against this man?” 30They answered him, “If this man were not doing evil, we would not have delivered him over to you.” 31Pilate said to them, lTake him yourselves and judge him by your own law.” The Jews said to him, “It is not lawful for us to put anyone to death.”

John 19:6-7

Greek Ioudaioi probably refers here to Jewish religious leaders, and others under their influence, in that time; also verses 12, 14, 31, 38
answered him, “We have a law, and paccording to that law he ought to die because qhe has made himself the Son of God.”

John 19:12

12From then on rPilate sought to release him, but the Jews cried out, “If you release this man, you are not Caesar’s friend. sEveryone who makes himself a king opposes Caesar.”
