Pilate Delivers Jesus to Be Crucified

24 So when Pilate saw that he was gaining nothing, but rather that ^aa riot was beginning, he took water and ^bwashed his hands before the crowd, saying, “I am innocent of ^cthis man’s blood; ^{▼▼Some manuscripts this righteous blood, or this righteous man’s blood} ^esee to it yourselves.” 25 And all the people answered, ^f“His blood be on us and ^gon our children!”
