Matthew 27:28-30

28 And they stripped him and put ^aa scarlet robe on him, 29 and twisting together a crown of thorns, they put it on his head and put a reed in his right hand. And kneeling before him, they ^bmocked him, saying, “Hail, ^cKing of the Jews!” 30 And ^dthey spit on him and took the reed and struck him on the head.

Luke 23:11

11 And Herod with his soldiers ^etreated him with contempt and ^fmocked him. Then, ^garraying him in splendid clothing, he sent him back to Pilate.

John 19:2-5

2 ^hAnd the soldiers twisted together a crown of thorns and put it on his head and arrayed him in a purple robe. 3 They came up to him, saying, “Hail, King of the Jews!” and struck him with their hands. 4 Pilate went out again and said to them, “See, I am bringing him out to you that you may know that ⁱI find no guilt in him.” 5 So Jesus came out, wearing ^jthe crown of thorns and the purple robe.
