The Death of Jesus

45 Now from the sixth hour ^{▼▼That is, noon} there was darkness over all the land ^{▼▼Or earth} until the ninth hour. ^{▼▼That is, 3 p.m.}

Matthew 27:51-54

51 And behold, ^dthe curtain of the temple was torn in two, from top to bottom. And ^ethe earth shook, and the rocks were split. 52 The tombs also were opened. And many bodies of ^fthe saints ^gwho had fallen asleep were raised, 53 and coming out of the tombs after his resurrection they went into ^hthe holy city and appeared to many. 54 ⁱWhen the centurion and those who were with him, ^jkeeping watch over Jesus, saw the earthquake and what took place, they were filled with awe and said, ^k“Truly this was the Son ^{▼▼Or a son} of God!”
