Matthew 27:55-61

55There were also amany women there, looking on bfrom a distance, who had followed Jesus from Galilee, cministering to him, 56among whom were dMary Magdalene and Mary the mother of James and Joseph and ethe mother of the sons of Zebedee.

Jesus Is Buried

57 fWhen it was evening, there came a rich man from Arimathea, named Joseph, who also was a disciple of Jesus. 58He went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus. Then Pilate ordered it to be given to him. 59And Joseph took the body and wrapped it in a clean linen shroud 60and glaid it in his own new tomb, hwhich he had cut in the rock. And he rolled ia great stone to the entrance of the tomb and went away. 61Mary Magdalene and jthe other Mary were there, sitting opposite the tomb.

Luke 23:50-56

Jesus Is Buried

50 kNow there was a man named Joseph, from the Jewish town of Arimathea. He was a member of the council, a good and righteous man, 51who had not consented to their decision and action; and he lwas looking for the kingdom of God. 52This man went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus. 53Then he took it down and wrapped it in a linen shroud and mlaid him in a tomb cut in stone, nwhere no one had ever yet been laid. 54It was the day of oPreparation, and the Sabbath was beginning.

55 qThe women rwho had come with him from Galilee followed and saw the tomb and how his body was laid. 56Then they returned and sprepared spices and ointments.

On the Sabbath they rested taccording to the commandment.

John 10:31-42

31 uThe Jews picked up stones again to stone him. 32Jesus answered them, “I have shown you many good works from the Father; for which of them are you going to stone me?” 33The Jews answered him, “It is not for a good work that we are going to stone you but vfor blasphemy, because you, being a man, wmake yourself God.” 34Jesus answered them, Is it not written in xyour Law, yI said, you are gods’? 35If he called them gods to whom the word of God cameand Scripture cannot be zbroken 36do you say of him whom aathe Father consecrated and absent into the world, ‘You are blaspheming,’ because acI said, ‘I am the Son of God’? 37 adIf I am not doing the works of my Father, then do not believe me; 38but if I do them, aeeven though you do not believe me, believe the works, that you may know and understand that afthe Father is in me and I am in the Father.” 39 agAgain they sought to arrest him, but he escaped from their hands.

40He went away again across the Jordan to the place ahwhere John had been baptizing at first, and there he remained. 41And many came to him. And they said, “John did no sign, but aieverything that John said about this man was true.” 42And ajmany believed in him there.
