Remember how he told you, ^abwhile he was still in Galilee, 7 ^acthat the Son of Man ^admust be delivered into the hands of sinful men and ^aebe crucified and on ^afthe third day rise.” 8And ^agthey remembered his words, 9and returning from the tomb they ^ahtold all these things to the eleven and to all the rest. 10Now it was ^aiMary Magdalene and ^ajJoanna and Mary the mother of James and the other women with them who told these things to the apostles, 11but these words seemed to them an idle tale, and ^akthey did not believe them. 12But ^alPeter rose and ran to the tomb; stooping and looking in, he saw ^amthe linen cloths by themselves; and he went home marveling at what had happened.

31Since it was ^anthe day of Preparation, and ^aoso that the bodies would not remain on the cross on the Sabbath (for that Sabbath was ^apa high day), the Jews asked Pilate that their legs might be broken and that they might be taken away.

He saw the linen cloths lying there, 7and ^awthe face cloth, which had been on Jesus’ ▼
