22And fwhen the time came for their purification according to the Law of Moses, they brought him up to Jerusalem gto present him to the Lord 23(as it is written in hthe Law of the Lord, i“Every male who first opens the womb shall be called holy to the Lord”) 24and to offer a sacrifice according to what is said in jthe Law of the Lord, k“a pair of turtledoves, or two young pigeons.” 25Now there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon, and this man was lrighteous and mdevout, nwaiting for othe consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him. 26And it had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not psee death before he had seen qthe Lord’s Christ. 27And he came in the Spirit into the temple, and when rthe parents brought in the child Jesus, to do for him according to the custom of the Law,Romans 15:8

8For I tell you that Christ sbecame a servant to the circumcised to show God’s truthfulness, in order tto confirm the promises given to the patriarchs,Colossians 2:14
